Hoops the Right Way - A Basketball Academy in Northern Virginia

Meet Coach Ken!

Coach Ken brings over 20+ years of experience and has trained thousands of players through our basketball camps, clinics, development and leagues.

He played college basketball (on scholarship) at Fayetteville State University in North Carolina and during his career at Fayetteville State had the opportunity to be coached by the late legendary NBA coach, Jeff Capel, and Mark Cline current assistant coach at Marshall University in West Virginia. Coach Ken played with and/or against the following NBA players:

• Darrell Armstrong (Orlando Magic)
• Ben Wallace (Detroit Pistons)
• A.J. English (Bullets)
• Tony Massenburg (Spurs)
• Lamont Strothers (Portland Trail Blazers)

Once Coach Ken graduated, he made the choice to start his career as an accountant in lieu of pursuing his basketball career. However, his love for the game never stopped and he still plays competitively at a high-level today. Coach Ken is an excellent teacher and makes learning the game of basketball fun.
